Don’t get upset. It’s not what you think. It’s just what someone called it after piling me with bunnies.
First there was one.
Then someone asked if I’d like to hold two. “Sure,” I said, but that quickly jumped to three.
And suddenly there were four.
Then, of course, five.
And finally, all heck breaks lose. I couldn’t stop laughing.
Until, at last…
Though it’s a little hard to tell, I’m holding eight bunnies. (My apologies for the grainy photos. It was mostly dark out.)
I didn’t have “hold eight bunnies at once” on my bucket list, but I’d like to add it after the fact and then cross it off.
What strange things are on your bucket list? How many bunnies, or other animals, have you held at once?
I was certain the last photo would be of you rabbit juggling

LOL! Now THAT would’ve been awesome!

I would have been very, very impressed. Even more so than I am that you were able to hold all eight. I have never managed more than one.

I would’ve been very impressed with me too! But bunnies are certainly not something I’d like to practice juggling with!

Oh what fun photos. Eight bunnies for the win. You really got hopping with this post.

“hopping” Haha! Well done, AB. 🙂

Flopsy and Mopsy are in that bunch. They looks so relaxed even though they’re all piled up! I looked up the Guinness World Record of Rabbit Holding and couldn’t find one… I think you should go for it !!!

Haha! Not sure I need that fame… or notoriety, but thank you for thinking of me! 🙂

It was great. I wish I could’ve enjoyed it a little more, truly felt them instead of laughing at the absurdity and making sure not to drop any!

At our new home we get bunnies running across our lawns in the mornings, but I’ve never seen eight at once.
I doubt I could hold the bunnies in our yard – they run really, really fast.

OMG!! That is fantastic! It’s like that game with Ellen DeGeneres where you get more puppies for each correct answer. These pics made my day 😀 [New bucket list]

Hooray! I haven’t seen the puppies game, but that sounds DIVINE!

Either that, or the Star Trek episode “The Trouble with Tribbles”. Enjoy your bunny tribbles

Oooh, but that one was kind of creepy ultimately, wasn’t it? Let’s stick with Ellen and the puppies! 🙂 🙂

My heart did skip a beat when I read your title, Betsy, and then I thought “no way.”
Adorable bunnies. And adorable smile on your face. I think ‘holding eight bunnies’ is now on my bucket list. They do seem docile. I thought they would panic and fidget more. A fun post!

They didn’t move at all! They were amazing!
No actual fur coats for me, thanks!

I am jealous! All the wriggly, cozy fur!

I wish I could’ve fully enjoyed it. Too busy laughing and trying not to drop them. 🙂

The bunnies are wonderful. I also love your tagline. That it is better to laugh. Of course you must count your blessings. three girls and a toddler boy are far gentler than three boys and a toddler girl😊😊

Very true, Parneet. My neighbor has three boys. She’s told me stories…. 🙂 Thank you for stopping by!

I love the joy in these pictures.
I can’t recount how many animals I’ve held. But kids? I have a high number of those that have been piled on.

Haha. I hope they were small kids! 🙂

The older they got the bigger they got, but then smaller ones were added. Didn’t look like a fur coat though!

Haha! I’m glad it didn’t look like a fur coat, and how could they not love on you like that? 🙂 🙂

This is great eight bunnies. I had five birds in my hand once but they flew before I could get a picture. Make everyday an accomplishment

I’m not surprised at all. Rabbits are known to multiply like crazy!
Hold onto your chair: I once held TWO kittens at once. I know!! Guinness Book of World Records, look out.

Two kittens at once sounds lovely too. Another commenter looked for a Guinness record of how many bunnies were held at once and couldn’t find an answer. I think that means I must be the winner.

There’s probably no such category, which means you win by default!

My mouth is still agape, Betsy! They must have stayed really still for you – 8!!!! That is incredible!
Did you bring them all home with you?
LikeLiked by 2 people
They stayed completely still. Very docile. Sadly, no, they stayed with their owner, but they sure were cute and fluffy!

Maybe better to love on them, then return to their owners! (I am not a good pet owner – I get traumatised when my fish die).

Awh, you’re such a sweet, sensitive, pet-loving soul! I enjoyed my brief visit with the bunnies. I trust they’ll be happy with their owners. 🙂

So cute! Alex had a pet bunny (Thrianta breed) that he showed at a county fair in Ohio before we moved to the state of Washington. We gave the bunny to a good home, and now I miss him so much.

Awh, can you get another bunny?

No–we live in a smaller house now in a crowded neighborhood. The cat is enough.

This is lovely. You looked so happy! I also want to hold eight bunnies! When we were in Kota Kinabalu there was a bunny garden with a big gang of rabbits. We hanged out for a bit but I did not touch them. They were massive!

Whoa! Massive? Dang. I wish you had a picture. I have seen some crazy and amazing things from my blog friends in Malaysia.

I wish I had a photo! They were the cutest. But their garden smelled like their pee so I could not stay as long as I wanted or else my allergies will be triggered.

Yes, it gave me just enough time to find them cute. We had bunnies as children, briefly, and now I forgot what happened to them.

Huh. They went off to bunny heaven. Or the great bunny farm in the sky. 🙂 I had a beloved hamster that I one day discovered missing from its cage. My parents told me he must have escaped and made a new home outside in the wilderness. It wasn’t until I was an adult that it occurred to me that maybe the hamster had died, and they removed him before I could find out!

Bless our parents. My father had a wild cat that had the same story. It was just gone. It was probably for the best because that guy was seriously wild.

The good news is that holding eight bunnies made you laugh, and god knows laughing is soooo good for us now. Fortunately, lately I was holding just one squirmy puppy, and that made me laugh and giggle and really felt good. The most of anything I’ve held in my arms is probably books, but they’re inanimate (until you open them up and read), so I guess that doesn’t count.

Yes, the opportunity to laugh was most welcome. Holding an armful of books sounds utterly delightful, Roughwighting!

Sooo cute! You are adorable with all those bunnies. Now, imagine, if you will, they are kittens. Fuzzy kittens. And you’re sitting on the ground. And people just keep dropping fuzzy kittens onto you (never mind their needle-sharp claws). What fun!

Julie. You won’t believe this. Well, actually, you probably will. When Joe was a newborn and I was barely keeping it together, what you just described was where I would go when I needed to go to my happy place.
