Children can be so tactful

Standard
When my son was about six years old, he attended a prayer meeting with my mom and me for our American Italian Club.  Everyone had an opportunity to mention their intention, and my son decided he wanted to pray for his grandma, who was there with us. My  mom was smiling with pride until he added, “Cause, you know, she is OLD!”
My mom said, “Hey what do you mean old…?”
We all roared with laughter!

      • Ha! This sounds like the principle one follows when a little kid: don’t let them know that they got to you. It’s the reaction that they’re going for. Laughing is probably a smart move. Who knows what catchy phrase they might come up with next if you don’t!
