I asked my children if they were hungry, and my four-year-old daughter replied, “‘I am,’ said the girl with the purple glasses.” Then the next day she said to me, “‘”Can I paint, please, Mommy?” she asked.'”
That’s right, folks. She was narrating her own dialogue!
