When her grandparents were visiting, I tried to get my six-year-old to go to the grocery store with them. She wasn’t really interested, so I told her that they were going to buy donuts, which was true. Still not enticed, I suggested that, since the store was new to them, they would need her help finding the donuts.
Unswayed, she responded, “I think they can find the donuts themselves.”
Oh my, when you can’t bribe a 6 year old with donuts, what’s left? Say it isn’t so… Too funny!

I’ll do many things for a donut. And I am only slightly embarrassed to admit that.

Hey, who wouldn’t? No shame in admitting it.

You should have said they were going to the bank to get her some money.

I was seriously contemplating going to a different church this weekend because I knew it was their donut Sunday. I would shop with a total stranger if I thought donuts in my tummy would be the end result. Glazed, custard, sprinkled, days old- mama doesn’t care.
