My mom referred to my big brother recently as “Lukey boy.” I said, “Mom, he’s 48-years-old! You still call him that?” She said, “He’ll always be my baby boy.” Isn’t that adorable? So, yeah. I guess Joe will always be my baby. 🙂
So cute! My brother and sister are eight years younger than I am, so when they were babies/toddlers, I got to see all of the stuff they would put in their hair. They would use Spaghettio’s as hair products, which really smells and stains.
Betsy, Your son is adorable. His eyes all twinkly and full of mischief. Must take after his Mother.🙂
An aside: I sent my daughter a link to your site. She has been writing all of her life (books included). I have been gently encouraging her to begin a blog. You always come across very friendly, kind and approachable. I wanted her to see an example of your blogging style. She has a 6 month old and a 2 year old. Hope all is well.🙂
I hope your daughter enjoys and finds comfort in my blog, especially if she digs deep into the older stuff when my kids were her kids’ ages. I started this blog when mine were young so others could commiserate with me. Blogging is such a nice outlet. The wonderful people I’ve met is the best part of all. 🙂 I hope she starts blogging too. I’ll happily follow her. 🙂
He’s cute even though he’s sticky

I’d never considered maple syrup as an emergency hair gel. The kid is on to something – a genius! ❤

Another commenter suggested bacon grease. This kid will just wear breakfast on his head!

You just need to fry up some bacon and run that through his hair next. You call it a hairstyle, I call it breakfast.

Yeah, but no one likes hair in their food.

My now-13-year-old was like that until a couple years ago, so your daughter is in good company. 🙂

Pretty sure he did it accidentally, but I totally capitalized on it anyway. Who can resist such a cutie?

So after using this magic hair gel, how long is it before the ants show up?

First, when did he go from BABY to young MAN!!!!!
Personally, I like the look. Spiky hair is the best! Syrup induced or not.

Young man?! Slow down, CM. He’s three! Young man just SCARES me!! But, yeah. He is sort of looking it, isn’t he? [shudder]
You rock the spiky hair look all the time, don’t you? You go, girl! Now you know what you can use in a pinch! 😉

Tell him thank you! It helps to know. 🙂
I thought the ‘young man’ might scare you. But wow, no more ‘a’ baby though always ‘the’ baby. 🙂
