Some time after the kids had been playing outside my bedroom window, I walked into my room, looked out the window, and saw something that made me freeze, back up slowly, and call down the hallway, “Girls? Could you come here a moment?”
Then, pointing, “What. Is that?”
“We were making mud food,” one responded. “It’s a mini croissant.”

“Mini croissant”
Of course it is.
I felt the need to warn my husband when he got home from work. “When you go into our room, just know it’s a mini croissant.” He looked at me, puzzled, then continued on his way. A moment later I heard him laughing.

I recently received this message from an actual human being: “I am loving your book. Seriously. My family kept looking at me b/c I was laughing so hard. Then they said, ‘Oh, she’s reading that book again.'”
And this review popped up on Amazon:
You won’t know what you’re missing out on until you order your copy today. 🙂
Well, what else would it be?

Yeah… Exactly, Andrew. TOTALLY what I was thinking. I mean, why did I even need to ask?

This is a great reason to have kids–for the humor. Even with the clue, “It’s not what you think,” I couldn’t figure it out.

You know me, I always have a great comment for you, but today….. I am left speechless on this one. I have sooo many questions to ask on the photo that I see, that it is probably better left un-asked.

Haha. Let’s just all use our imaginations and jump to our own conclusions, shall we? But I can tell you this, “mini croissant” was not what I was thinking.

Has anyone in your family asked, “Ok, whose mini croissant clogged the toilet?!” because that’s what would happen at my house. Please tell me we’re not the only weird ones…

Ick indeed. I’m glad it’s not there any more and I don’t have to see it when I look out my bedroom door!
Thanks, Ally!
