You want me to eat you?
Okay!
Nom nom nom!
This will be my last post of the year. We’re driving to visit my parents at their new home in Middle of Nowhere, NM. We’ll be off the internet, which means I’ll have to spend my time reading books and playing games, eating food that I didn’t prepare (my parents love to cook), and only optionally cleaning up afterward (right, Mom?). I’ll just be responsible for my little people (and I suppose that one big person I’m bringing along), and even with the little people I’ll have reinforcements. Sounds wonderful.
On the other hand, it’s going to be cold.
Our thin CA blood may have a hard time with that, but there’s supposed to be snow. In fact, my middle girl insists upon it. If we get that, the cold will be permitted.
But otherwise, there’s alcohol. I told my mom about the fabulously delicious eggnog cream liquor that I picked up at Costco. She said to bring it with us, and added, “Make room, even if you have to leave a kid behind!”
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah to all my blog buddies. I hope you’re also taking a break from blogging so I don’t get too far behind! 🙂
See you in the new year!
Have a good holiday and now you’ve inspired me to write daily, very long blog posts … 😉

What a cutie! They are sooo cute at that age (when they’re not pooping or practicing projectile vomit 🙂 ) Have a safe trip, and if you miss the snow in NM, you can always come here to MN. Rumor has it we’re getting snow for Christmas. And then cold. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (better bring an extra bottle of liquor 😀 )

Thank you! And no doubt my parents will be well-stocked with the liquor. But yeah, just in case. 😉 Have a great one, Julie!

Have a wonderful time (and try to relax for a bit if only for a minute)! That eggnog sounds wonderful.

Mmm, it so is. I may need to grab another bottle before the season is over and they stop selling it. Would it be wrong to drink eggnog in like, March?

No judgement here 😄

And I will face west and do the same. (I should mention it will be after 5 much earlier for me, so if you need to start early, you can use this shared toast as an excuse).

I’m a mom with newborn. What more excuse do I need?

March is fine–Lent might be a problem though. Just make sure to consume it on March 19th (Feast of St. Joseph) or March 25 (Feast of the Annunciation). 🙂

Duly noted, Gigi! Drink half a bottle each day–got it! 😉

Let’s see 4 kids…hmmm, by my math that means room for 4 bottles of eggnog cream. Let’s take a moment and consider that when you’re packing.

They each get to hold one? Or, heck, if I left the kids behind, I could really load up. You may have to come here for New Years then. I’ll be sure to buy out Costco before they stop selling them.

I have discovered, sadly, that grocery/Costco stores in Georgia are only allowed to sell beer and wine. So no large bottle of egg nog liquor for me. Sad face.

Enjoy your time away. I’ll think kind thoughts about you even though I’m jealous that you’re drinking delicious adult beverages in a beautiful part of the country– while I’m not. Happy Holidays.

I think I read somewhere that Costco booze is an acceptable substitute for butt cream, so you can safely leave the booty paste home without any guilt if space is needed for the important stuff.

Ha! That’s crazy. Interesting, though. But I would feel quite guilty using the liquor on a bottom!

Have a wonderful holiday with your family. New Mexico–I think of that as hot. You must be going places like Prescott. You’ll have a great time showing off the newest member of the family.

Oh, yeah. It’s good stuff. I need to get back to Costco before they stop selling it, as it’s a seasonal item. The pumpkin pie liquor last year was also good. I’ll have to remember next year to see what flavor they come up with. Happy (nearly) new year!
