101 Tips for a Happier Marriage just came out in Korean! It’s quite pretty, and it even comes with a little purple bookmark. (That makes three foreign translations, y’all!)
On a related note, my five-day series of TV shows aired two weeks ago. I cringed while viewing. A few times the cameraman did an extreme close-up of my face, once when I wasn’t even talking! He didn’t do that with the other two women. It was so weird.
My husband was a little freaked watching me on TV while I was sitting next to him. I was freaked by the size of that 7-month pregnant belly. They say the camera adds ten pounds. I looked more like 11 months pregnant. I should’ve made a point to mention that I was pregnant during each episode lest I just appear fat. ๐
On an unrelated note, the soft little hairs on the back of Joseph’s head are so fluffy. I love rubbing my cheek against them. Who needs a kitten when you have baby hair to love?
This is brilliant PIF! I will watch your shows when I get back. I can’t wait. ๐

Congratulations on the translation. Note that I’ve replaced the baby with five cats.

Okay, now five cats would trump one small back of baby’s head. I actually dreamed that a bucket of kittens was dumped on me. It was heavenly. (I may have a problem.)

It’s exciting to have your book translated, and the purple bookmark is tres chic. Does each translation come with a different color bookmark?

Nope, that’s the only one with a publisher cool enough to include a handy bookmark.

We’re always our own worst critic. I bet you looked great! Wish I could watch it here.

Thanks, Carrie. And very true, I’m sure. I did appreciate that the powder guy made me look tan, though. ๐

I bet he did the close ups of you because you looked so good, he couldn’t resist! I can’t imagine your tv appearances to be anything but fantastic! But I do think it would be weird to watch myself on tv with my husband.
And yes to the baby hairs. My daughter had no hair (just a little bit of fuzz) for the longest time, and I miss rubbing that soft baby head. There is no dog or cat or any pet that feels as nice ๐

Thank you, Lonna. Yes, soft baby hair is indeed the best!

The cover is very pretty. It looks like a journal. Have you already mentioned what the show’s name was? I hate that I missed it.

I agree. It does look like a journal, and you didn’t miss it. I purposely didn’t tell people the title!

It freaked me out to think of anyone I “know” watching me besides the hubs.

Congrats on the ‘new’ book! I always find it so interesting how the covers can be so different depending on where the book is published. Agatha Christie’s novels even had different titles depending on whether they were US or UK releases.
Oh, come on. Baby fuzz is awesome, along with that new baby smell, but he doesn’t purr, does he? Now kitten fur AND purring–that’s the sweet spot ๐ ! (because we all know that baby fuzz doesn’t last forever, and neither does that new baby smell ๐ )

You’re right. When he gets a little older, I’ll have to get a kitten.

Wow, your book is in Korean. How great is that? Congrats. And thanks for the laugh about the TV shows, but I’m sure you did beautifully. Enjoy the baby hair. Awwww. โค

It’s cool that they released your book in Korean. It’s another market for sales. Did it get released in any other languages?

Polish, and a version in India, but it’s also in English.

I feel like if anyone were interviewing me at seven-months pregnant, it would be a showing on a weekend MSNBC “Locked-up” episode…

Haha! Let’s hope that never happens. ๐

There is a link for the first episode, but that’s not a great one. The other four were much better. Yeah, I think I’ll just keep that link under my hat, thank you very much! ๐ฎ

Congrats! Are all three book covers completely different. Do you even get a say in how they will look? Enjoy those fluffy baby hairs!

Now there’s four different covers: the original and the three foreign ones. Nope, we don’t get a say on the covers. I think we did with the original, though.
