Nap time

Standard
I laid down on the couch for a bit, and L brought me her special blanket and the stuffed animal of hers that she knows is my favorite. What a little love.

The next day I was lounging in a stuffed chair and happened to rest my eyes for a bit. The youngest ran away and came back with the same animal and blanket. A minute later when L came in, she looked at the animal with disdain, picked it up, flipped it around so it would be hugging me, and readjusted the blanket to cover us both.

Apparently she takes the rules of animal snuggling seriously.

This is just all wrong. The bear is facing out instead of in, and where is the special blankie? This guy is a total amateur.

Do you nap? Or, like me, do you only dream of napping?

  1. I am glad you’re being taught the proper rules. It would be tragic for you to never know the joy of properly snuggling a stuffed animal.

and I never nap, but I have noticed a problem with my TV – there are times I start watching something and then suddenly the program just jumps to something new. Happens a lot with baseball, I start watching the game and the next thing I know the news is on. Got to get that TV fixed.

    • Ah, man. You gotta get that tv looked at. That would drive me nuts. I hope you’re at least comfortable on the couch when it happens, perhaps even lying down, with a pillow, maybe a teddy bear and a blanket. šŸ™‚

  2. Ah, yes, the glories of a nap šŸ˜€ ! I’m fortunate in that I get an opportunity to recharge (aka nap) on the weekends. Then again, my kids are much older than yours. šŸ™‚

And of course the stuffed animal has to hug you. Weren’t you paying attention in class? šŸ˜‰

  3. Oh yes I nap! That is one of the beauties of being retired. Some days I am on the go all day. But there are those days when I say, “I’m retired. I can take a nap if I want to.” And I enjoy it!
