Lost in translation


When my girls saw a Chick-fil-A  mascot on a street corner, they immediately and wordlessly, rolled down their windows and began mooing at it.

My husband said, “What are you doing?”

They said, “We’re talking to the cow!”


Of course they were. They do the same to dogs and cats, after all. Sadly, just like with the dogs and cats, the cow ignored them.

Perhaps their pronunciation was off. I hope they didn’t say something uncouth about his mother.

  1. Maybe it was a South American cow. We get a lot of cows up from Argentina, you know. They should have tried mooing in Spanish as the cow likely didn’t understand an English moo.

    Well, maybe you should reread Dr. Dolittle. That dude knew how to talk to animals…
