Too cute not to share

Standard

My seven-year-old was reading about owls out loud, including what they eat. My four-year-old said to me, “So if an owl saw a human it would be like, [shrugs shoulders] ‘Umm. Nah.'”

Where does she come up with this stuff?

A friend posted this on facebook. My heart nearly melted:
Two of my children were chatting in the backyard sandbox. One said to the other, “Let’s dream about each other, so we can play with each other in our dreams.”

And finally, my seven-year-old was flipping through the calendar, reading the months out loud. My nine-year-old sneaked up behind her and tickled her just as she got to June. Instead of saying it normally, it came out as a shriek. My nine-year-old said, “What’s the matter? Are you afraid of June?”

  1. Such a sweet thing they said about dreaming about one another! I actually borrowed a children’s book from the library called Dream Friends that’s about that.
