Observe:
“MOMMY! Paul won’t give me the big sticker!”
“Well, John, why don’t you suggest a solution? Maybe find out why he’s saving the big sticker, or maybe see if there’s another sticker he *would* give you, or maybe trade two of your little stickers for his big sticker. Could you try to work something out?”
“Ok…I will…
…PAUL!!! MOMMY SAYS YOU HAVE TO GIVE ME THE BIG STICKER!”
-from one of my favorite FB friends (Names have been changed.)
This sounds familiar. Only change the kids to teenagers. The voices are deeper and the tone snarkier, but the message remains the same. 😉

Yes, like Carrie says, it doesn’t change when they get older! Well except that it’s probably not about stickers, but the scenario is the same!

I shudder to think what it will be about. With all my girls being 2.5 years apart, it could be about boyfriends! Eek!
