We have cold cereal for breakfast almost every morning. The names of the different brands of cereal have gotten lost in toddler translation. One of our three-year-old’s favorites is “Honey Bunches of Oats”, but when we ask her what she’d like to eat she says: “Honey Jumps on The Boat.”

  1. I love how kids rename things based on how they sound. When my kids were little, I’d often say, “Drink your water. It’s good for your kidneys.” One day my oldest son, who was three at the time, said (in response to me telling him to drink his water), “Cause it’s good for my kitties, Mommy?”
