My husband, a middle school history teacher, asked his seventh grade class this question on a test: Should people be allowed to carry guns, and why? One enlightened student responded like so:
“No, I don’t think people should carry guns around when they go to public places. A mass murderer could carry a gun right into Carl’s Junior, kill all the workers, and take all the food. And now that’s just unfair.”
Not quite on target.
I never know whether to be enlightened or scared by what kids say. Great post today though, I love seeing a new blog post, it’s always a great read!

I don’t know whether to laugh out loud or cry at the ignorance.. Kids are something else!

I wasn’t quite sure how to react at first, either. I opted for laughter because it’s happier. He’s young, at least. There’s still hope!

I think the kid meant it to be sad for both the dead workers and the no food.
