A Lesson in how NOT to talk to a priest

Standard

At my daughter’s baptism, the priest asked, “What name do you give this child?” We told him, and when the priest repeated the name, my four-year-old son pointed violently at the priest and yelled, “You’re wrong!” Having heard his little sister called ‘Baby’ so often, he was sure that was her proper name. We were embarrassed and shocked by the sudden outburst, as were all our guests. Our saving grace was that the priest was hard of hearing and appeared, at any rate, to not have heard our son. I wonder if he managed to overlook my beet-red face as well. -Ginny, mother of 4
