Who needs med school? Become a mom!

Standard

My baby girl had a strange, red, raw area on the back of her neck. When it didn’t go away after a couple of days, I took her to the doctor. After a multitude of exams, including x-rays, the doctor said, “I have no idea what it is, but she seems to be okay.”  A few days later I discovered the source of this strange malady.

Through the bathroom door I witnessed my older daughter dragging her baby sister by the legs, as she was too big to carry, down the hallway and into her bedroom. The strange rash was rug burn!

  1. I love it! Reminds me of my first baby. Dr. discovered a slight bruise in the middle of her back (why hadn’t I seen that????)–Ruled out any cause for alarm and we went home from the doc’s office. Later that eve, when baby needed to burp—AHHH–it was my wedding ring–gently hitting the same spot over and over and over again—oh my. Thank goodness for “tough” babies! barb
