I told my four-year-old she had to clean up if she wanted dessert. She continued to look at books. “I’ll give your pudding to your little sister if you don’t clean up,” I said. She continued to look at books.

“Alright, I’m giving the chocolate pudding to your sister.”

“Hold it! Hold it!” My daughter exclaimed, as she closed the book. As I walked to the kitchen threateningly she yelled,

“Patience!”
